What You’ll Do: As a Towing Driver, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering and collecting hire equipment, ensuring excellent customer interactions and compliance with health and safety standards. Key responsibilities include:
Delivery and Collection:
- Safely transport and hand over hire equipment to customer sites.
- Conduct thorough handover processes, including operational demonstrations.
- Inspect equipment for damages or shortages and document findings accurately.
- Use the company tablet for recording, taking photos, and obtaining customer signatures.
- Perform daily checks and adhere to service intervals.
- Ensure compliance with digital tachograph usage and legislation.
- Follow company health and safety policies and ensure safe loading/unloading practices.
- Collaborate with depot staff and administrators to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with tasks as requested by the Depot Manager.
- Minimum 2 years’ driving experience with a valid UK licence.
- Proven towing experience and use of a digital tachograph card.
- Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience in the hire or logistics industry.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to transport.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional.
- Polite, well-mannered, and customer-focused.
