About the Role A leading business membership organisation is looking for a Head of Membership to drive engagement, growth, and retention. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a membership team, build strong relationships with businesses, and develop strategic initiatives to support business growth across the region.
This role is critical in shaping membership services, increasing commercial revenue, and ensuring businesses receive outstanding value and support.
Key Responsibilities
Proven experience in sales, membership management, or business development
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and driving business growth
Excellent relationship-building skills, able to engage with senior business leaders and stakeholders
Commercial mindset, with the ability to generate revenue through memberships, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships
Understanding of the Black Country business landscape and economic environment
Highly organised, with strong project management, budget oversight, and strategic planning skills

This role is critical in shaping membership services, increasing commercial revenue, and ensuring businesses receive outstanding value and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Membership Growth & Retention – Develop and implement strategies to increase membership, drive engagement, and enhance retention.
- Business Development – Build and maintain relationships with key businesses, partners, and stakeholders to support revenue growth.
- Team Leadership – Lead and develop a membership team, ensuring high performance and achievement of targets.
- Strategic Partnerships – Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations that align with business priorities.
- Commercial Sales & Revenue – Generate income through membership fees, sponsorship sales, and business development initiatives.
- Marketing & Communications – Work closely with the marketing team to promote membership benefits and business services.
- Events & Sponsorships – Oversee membership events, networking opportunities, and sponsorship sales to drive engagement.
- Budget & Performance Management – Manage departmental budgets, set KPIs, and ensure financial sustainability.
Proven experience in sales, membership management, or business development
