Job description, work day and responsibilities
A market-leading company in the supply, manufacture, design, installation, and servicing of pumping equipment is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join its external site teams.
This is a challenging and diverse role where you will work alongside a mechanical engineer, sharing a van, to install, commission, and service pumping equipment across the UK. The role involves national travel and occasional nights away from home, with all expenses covered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend various sites across the UK, supporting installations and servicing of equipment
- Assist the after-sales and breakdown department when available
- Be prepared to stay away from home at least one night per week (all expenses covered)
- Maintain and improve company procedures, ensuring efficient work completion
- Complete detailed site reports after each visit and obtain customer signatures
- Return all site reports and timesheets promptly
- Represent the company professionally, promoting products and services
- Ensure materials and tools are prepared before leaving for site work and complete jobs within time frames
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and stakeholders
- Manage petty cash and credit card responsibly
- Identify and report any training needs
Requirements:
- Essential:
- C&G Level 3 – Initial and periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing business needs
- Strong team player with excellent prioritization skills
- Self-motivated and capable of managing workload independently
- Desirable:
- 17th or 18th Edition Electrical Qualification (BS7671)
- Confined space training (CSTS)
- CSCS certification
- First Aid training
- Experience working with motors and/or pumps
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of the pumping or related industries
Working Conditions:
- Typically working 45-50 hours per week
- National travel required with occasional nights away from home (at least one night per week)
- All expenses related to travel and accommodations will be covered

Pay: £45,000.00-£54,000.00 per year
