What You’ll Do: As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles, using diagnostic equipment and preparing vehicles for MOT tests. Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicle types.
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
- Preparing vehicles for MOT tests and ensuring top standards.
- Attending on-site breakdowns and providing fault diagnosis and rectification.
- Using handheld tablets to log work, allocate parts, and maintain records.
- Managing parts requirements and optimising stock levels.
- Supporting other business areas as needed.
- Adhering to health and safety policies while maintaining professionalism.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician.
- An NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance, and Repair.
- Proven expertise in diagnostics, repairs, and fault finding.
- A full, clean driving licence.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
